Abstract: El artículo está centrado en los Apun- tes del subsuelo de F. M. Dostoievski. Se aborda la presencia del cuerpo en esta novela breve que marca el punto de inflexión hacia lo que muchos estudiosos han considerado una filosofía trágica en la obra del escritor ruso. La Lección de anato- mía del Dr. Joan Deijman, pintada por Rembrandt en 1656, brinda el contrapunto para dilucidar cuál es la concepción de la naturaleza humana que Dostoievski delinea en esta obra.
