Abstract: The multilayer dynamic material flow analysis model consists of two main components: A Monte Carlo method estimating uncertainties in CO2 emissions following the practice recommended by the 2006 IPCC guidelines; A physicochemical model charaterizing cement carbonation and estimate CO2 uptake during production, use, and end-of-life stages of the global cement cycle, as well as associated uncertainties estimated by a Monte Carlo method.
