Abstract: The diplomat Siegmund von Herberstein decorated his Russian travelogues and his autobiographical works with several illustrations, including some with references to Hungary. Augustin Hirschvogel created the depictions of the rulers Herberstein visited, as well as the illustrations of his European journeys.
