Abstract: Abstract : This report describes an analytical study of schemes for maximizing the conversion efficiency in high power coupled-cavity traveling-wave tubes. The procedures developed in this study were used to design a 100 KW, S-band coupled-cavity TWT with a predicted 40 percent conversion efficiency. (Author)
