Abstract: Se analiza el uso y abuso de drogas, asi como factores protectores y de riesgo en el tema de la drogadiccion en ninos escolarizados entre los 9 y 14 anos de edad en el nivel nacional. Se obtuvieron datos de tres escuelas primarias urbano-marginales de la provincia de Heredia. Un total de 386 estudiantes fueron entrevistados mediante un cuestionario autoadministrado.
