Abstract: A reduced-order model is applied to finite element analysis of microwave circuits. The matrix-valued transfer function of the system is obtained, which is described as a scattering matrix transfer function. Due to the application of model order reduction techniques, the scattering matrix transfer function of the microwave circuit is detailed as a low dimension system, which allows us to efficiently obtain the frequency behavior of the system.
