Optical and Related Properties of Semiconductors: Bulk and Small Particles
Authors: Papavassiliou, George C.

Abstract: The similarities and dissimilarities in the optical and related properties of conventional (e.g. CdS) and unconventional (i.e. metal-halide chain complexes, organic ion radical salts, polymers etc) semiconductors (bulk and small particles) are reviewed and some recent results are briefly re ported. The blue shift of the excitonic or charge transfer bands, by decreasing the size of the particles, is a common feature in the spectra of this kind of materials.
Popularity: This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the
underlying citation network.
Influence: This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the
underlying citation network (diachronically).
Citation Count: This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in
the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically).
Impulse: This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation
network.
