As part of the GraspOS project, researchers at OPERAS developed a narrative-style researcher CV template tailored to the Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH). Rather than finalising the template in isolation, they shared it with volunteer researchers, collected their feedback, and refined it over several iterations.
BIP! Scholar made this process possible. Its functionalities gave the team a practical environment for experimenting with the CV format and involving the research community directly in its development.

"Our collaboration with the BIP! Scholar team emerged from a specific need: to test and refine a Narrative CV template designed for Social Sciences and Humanities researchers within a real-world environment. The platform proved to be an ideal testing ground for our work.
The team at BIP! Scholar provided us with a sandbox space to share our template with volunteers participating in the GraspOS SSH pilot. We encouraged researchers to access the template directly by creating their account on the BIP! Scholar platform, which provides an overview of the process. The platform enabled us to gather meaningful feedback on how well the narrative approach worked in practice, particularly in balancing qualitative descriptions with supporting evidence like DOIs from the OpenAIRE Graph.
During this process, the BIP! Scholar team's openness to feedback and their genuine commitment to improving the service stood out. When we raised points about adapting the platform to better suit our needs, they responded constructively. They are currently implementing improvements based on our suggestions, which demonstrates a collaborative mindset that we truly appreciated.
The platform itself offers considerable flexibility. Users can configure profiles to emphasise different elements depending on their context, and the reliance on open data sources ensures transparency in how information is presented. For anyone looking to test academic tools or templates in a supportive environment, this adaptability is valuable.
