Abstract:
High calcium limestone is used in large amounts in concrete technology. It is an essential ingredient in the manufacture of cement clinker. It is also used as a coarse or fine aggregate in concrete. Attempts have also been made to partially or wholly replace gypsum with calcium carbonate in cements. Finely ground calcium carbonate may be added in small amounts to Portland cement.
