Abstract: The paper presents and discusses two approaches of heterogeneous simulation model implementation for risk assessment and mitigation in interconnected Critical Infrastructures (CIs). An important part of risk assessment is the estimation of damage under various reference scenarios of CIs interdependencies and adverse events of cyber of other nature. Such an estimation can only be done by simulation. Due to different physical nature of CIs, implementation of such a model is not as easy stuff.
