Abstract: This study is an analysis of how Al-Manar magazine viewed the Jews, the Zionist movement and their scheme of establishing a national home for the Jews in Palestine before World War I, particularly after Britain's occupation of Egypt in 1882 when the Egyptian media enjoyed more freedom in writing about Ottoman affairs. Many Syrians settled down in Egypt and established newspapers and magazines.
