Abstract: A double heterostructure of transition metal coordination compounds (TMCC), [PtII(en)2][PtIVX2(en)2]Y4(abbreviated as `X'), where en=1,2-diaminoethane, X=Cl, Br, Y=ClO4 or BF4, is grown by selective coordination epitaxy (SCE) for the first time. The fact indicates that superlattice of TMCC can be realized by SCE. A heterostructure including the mixed-crystal `Cl1-x Br x ' (Y=ClO4) is also reported. The band structure of the superlattice of TMCC's can be controlled continuously in the same manner as that of GaAs/Al1-x Ga x As/AlAs superlattice a...
