Abstract: Abstract miRNAs comprise a class of ∼22 nt noncoding RNAs that modulate the stability and/or translational potential of their mRNA targets. Emerging data suggest that stress conditions can alter the biogenesis of miRNAs, thereby changing the expression of mRNA targets.
