Abstract: Abstract The “edge”-luminescence spectra (.ELS) and the Raman excitation profiles (REP) of small CdS particles chemi'cally deposited on transparent substrates show size effects. The peaks are shifted to shorter wavelengths as the size of particles decreases. So at room temperature the ELS and REP spherical particles of 100 A in diameter occur at 468nm, respectively.
