Abstract: Abstract We have measured the Sr concentration and isotopic composition of most of the world's major rivers. These data greatly extend the range of geologic, tectonic and climatic drainage basin environments that have been studied and, overall, constitute a doubling of the fluvial Sr isotope data base.
