Abstract: This article presents a standardized analysis of failures in wind turbines concerning the main technologies classified in the literature, as well as identifies critical components and trends for the most modern wind farm facilities, which seek greater efficiency, robustness and reliability to mitigate failures and reduce wind turbine downtime. Through the application of Pareto’s rule, a set of components has been identified; although these provide little in terms of fault contribution, they do account for almost all downtime when they occur. ...
