Abstract: Molluscs, collected from loess and loess-like profiles of Hungary by a method developed for high resolution stratigraphic studies, were statistically evaluated for a palaeoenvironmental reconstruction. Species were ranged according to 4 important ecological factors, namely: soil type, air humidity, temperature and vegetation.
